Waxing Guide

Body waxing easily removes unwanted hair for up to 6 weeks. A hair follicle can produce up to 3 hairs so continued waxing will get all of the hairs that are in the growth cycle.

Prolonged waxing can kill the hair follicle thus reducing hair regrowth. Hair should be at least 1/2 of an inch long for successful waxing.

FAQ

Will waxing remove all the hair ?
Sometimes one application may not be enough especially on your first visit; a person with excessive hair may have unseen layers of hair, and a second layer of hair may appear after the first layer is removed. If the area is not sensitive, waxing may be repeated once only.

Will hair grow back thicker and darker after waxing ?
No, that's not possible; it's an old wife's tale. Over time, with frequent waxing, hair regrowth actually weakens and comes in finer and thinner, but good frequency and diligence is required to achieve results. If hair darkens and grows in thicker, it's a function of hormones, not waxing.

Water bumps or pustules after waxing. Why is that ?
This can happen occasionally, particularly on a client's first two or three times due to unknown trauma to sebaceous gland. Recommend that you returns as soon as possible to be waxed again three or four times, as this will subside with time. 

Client Error - The client must avoid tight clothing after waxing, especially in the waxed areas. Tight clothing may result in irritation and ingrown hairs. The client should, after 24-48 hours, use some type of exfoliating product to keep the dead skin build up from accumulating in the areas that tend to become ingrown, i.e., bikini, upper thighs, underarms, back of necks, calves, etc. 

Weakened Hair - As the client continues with waxing, the hair will begin to weaken and thin. This may produce a temporary tendency to ingrown hairs. The client should continue to use their exfoliating products and procedures as recommended by their esthetician/technician.

After waxing apply Tee Tree skin soothing moisturizer, it is advisable to buy a bottle to take home and re apply for a few days.
